Welcome to the Durville Manor Estate

Durville Manor Estate offers unique stays in a truly stunning South Somerset location. Our 20 acres of gardens and grounds are home to the luxurious self contained Guest Lodge ‘The Hermitage’ & spectacular 17th Century grade II listed Manor House.

The Manor House itself dates back to the 13th Century when it was held by the Durville family, and was later rebuilt in 1680 by John Stuckey; whose initials are inscribed on the fireback in the main dining room & whose family coat of arms adorns the western face of the Manor. In 1919 the Manor was restored and renovated by Captain C.P.L Firth who added the north crosswing.

First built in 1937 as a Cricket Pavilion to commemorate the coronation of King George VI & Queen Elizabeth. It was later home to Sisters of the Community of St Francis and rebuilt in 2021 after being decimated by an oak tree in 2018.
